Responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing all technical designs and engineering documentation.
Acts as the technical backbone of the project, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
Provides support to procurement and construction teams by clarifying specifications and resolving design-related issues.
1. Design Development
Prepare architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
Develop detailed specifications and bill of quantities (BOQ).
Ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
2. Shop Drawings & Coordination
Produce shop drawings for fabrication and installation.
Coordinate between disciplines (civil, MEP, etc.) to avoid clashes.
Use BIM (Building Information Modeling) for integrated design.
3. Value Engineering
Optimize designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Suggest alternative materials or methods to reduce costs.
4. Technical Support
Provide clarifications to site teams during construction.
Resolve design discrepancies and issue revisions when needed.
5. As-Built Documentation
Prepare final drawings reflecting actual construction for handover.
Ensure proper documentation for future maintenance and operations.
6. Compliance & Standards
Ensure adherence to local codes, international standards, and client specifications.
Review and approve subcontractor design submissions.
